The Ipswich Journal of 30 Jan 1813, (pg. 2 col. 5) reports; "Sunday the 10th inst died Mr James Fenn of Hemingstone aged 23, much respected and sincerely lamented by his family and friends, and all who had the pleasure of his acquantance".

Churchyard monumental inscription transcript for Hemingstone reads: "James son of Robert & Sarah Fenn 10 Jan 1813 aged 23"
