  General Notes:

Ede was born with a displaced hip requiring an orthotic boot, she was regarded as crippled. However she was widely travelled and spent a considerable part of her life in Europe. She took some 22 voyages back and forth from NZ to Britain and other parts of the world, often with her siblings or mother. She kept a fascinating diary, still in the possession of the family. Excerpts are published in 'Edwards Legacy".

Ede's will was filed for probate Timaru 8 Feb 1951 No 7926, she is described as a spinster.
