Kerie John Julius, s. Jedediah, Isle of St Christopher, West Indies, arm, University College, matric 18 Oct 1806, aged 21 BA 1810, MA 1815.
Ref: Oxford University Ulumni.

John was a Legatee from the Estate of John Calfe, of St Kitts, whose Will was dated 12 Nov 1807. Proved PCC 13 Apr 1805.
All of Calfe's books and L100.

He was Rector of Christ Church Nicola Town and of St John St Kitts 1826. He conducted a funeral in October 1820 at St George Basseterre.

4. Rev John Julius Kerie: Will, 1847.
Last Will and testament of me John Julius Kerie of the island of Saint Christopher clerk.

£2,000 given to me by my late uncle John Julius formerly of the Island of Saint Christopher esquire
resident at Holles Street Cavendish Square with all interest to my dear wife Jane Darlow Kerie, my
daughters Elizabeth Mary Fauntleroy Kerie, Maria Estridge Kerie and any other child/ren by my said wife
surviving me to be divided equally between them as tenants in common and not as joint tenants but in
case any such son/s shall die before age 21 or daughters before age 21 or marriage then for their share/s
to be divided equally among those surviving.

To my dear father Jedediah Kerie esquire, Henry Fauntleroy of Berners Street, Middlesex esquire and
my dear brother Jedediah Kerie the younger esquire, their heirs, etc. all the estate, right, title, and
interest of, in, and to one half of all the plantations, lands, slaves, and property of every description
which were belonging to my said late uncle John Julius Esquire in the island of Saint Christopher or
elsewhere under the Will of my said late uncle and also all other my estate and property whatsoever not
hereby otherwise disposed of in trust to pay one full third part of the clear annual rents, issues,
profits, and interest to my said wife or her assigns during the term of her natural life clear of all
deductions for her own use and benefit, and subject thereto in trust for my said daughters or any other
children by my said wife surviving me who shall attain the age of 21 (or daughters marry), their heirs,
etc., to be divided equally among them or in the meantime for their maintenance including full interest
of their shares if necessary.

Trustees to sell and dispose of all my estate, rights, and interest as they see fit and in the said half of the
plantations, lands, slaves, and property of my said late uncle with the appurtenances etc.

Receipts of any sales of the said trustees to be sufficient discharge to any purchases.

Trustees, their heirs, etc. to invest any purchase money in government or other good securities at interest
as well as the dividends and interest of the said half of the plantations, etc. and the rents, issues, and
profits thereof.

For Jedediah Kerie my father, Henry Fauntleroy, and Jedediah Kerie the younger to be executors. And I give
them £20.

On the 11th August 1847 admon with the Will annexed of the goods, chattels, and credits of the Reverend John Julius Kerie formerly of the island of Saint Christopher and late Philadelphia in the United States of America clerk deceased was granted to his son Julius Samuel Kerie a residuary legatee named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to administer. Jedediah Kerie Esquire the younger the brother and surviving executor and residuary legatee in trust named in the said Will having renounced as well the probate and execution of the said Will as also the letters of admon (with the same annexed) of the goods of the said deceased. The said Julius Samuel Kerie having attained the age of 21.
