bullet  General Notes:

George Francis Macirone 1789-1858, like his elder brother Francis Maceroni, was born in the suburbs of Manchester. He was baptised at Rook Street Catholic Chapel in Manchester. He converted to Anglicanism and became a stockbroker. He went to the same schools as did his brother, but unlike Francis he stayed safely in England, and much of the time with his parents. Mary Perriman's mother, Mary Thompson Tijou, was from a well-known Huguenot family. Perhaps "the foreigners" liked to stick together. After their marriage, George and Mary Ann continued living with his parents at 163 Bishopsgate Street in the City of London. Towards the end of his life George lived at 126 Adelaide Road, North London.
