THE WILL of EDMUND ALSTON of NEWTON Gent:
Dated 13th September 1678.
I give to my son Edmund Alston and his heirs my messuages lands and tenements both Copyhold and freehold in Newton, Waldingfield, Edwardstone, Boxford or
elsewhere.
I give to my daughter Goodridge one of my silver spoons
I give to my daughter Ponders Children, Robert, Edmund, Samuel and Sarah 40/- each.
To my grandchild Sarah Dawson a silver spoon
To my grandchild Dorothy Alston a silver spoon
I give to my son Edmund the residue of my estate to pay my debts &c and appoint him sole executer.
