Heraldic ledger gravestone slab - "Here lyeth the body of Anne the wife of Oliver Le Neve of Great Wichingham in ye county of Norffolk esq, the only daughter of Sir John Gaudy of West Harling in this same country, baronet, who left behind her 5 infants videlt; John, Francis, Isabell, Anne & Henrietta". She dyed e 18 day of February 1695 aged 31 years (Ann was the 1st wife of Oliver le Never 1711 Two sons who died before her in 1689 are buried nearby Sons John & Francis also died before their father leaving Isabell, Anne & Henrietta as his co-heiresses. However as his sons predeceased him, his estate passed to his elder brother Peter who died in 1729 and willed the estate to pass to his 3 nieces Isabella, Anne & Henrietta . However, after legal battles, with accusations by the Le Neves of conflict interest, the estate was taken through reversion of the will by the trustees of a John Norris, whose grandfather, a Norwich lawyer of the same name, had acted as trustee for the young Oliver Le Neve. The 3 daughters of Le Neve were ejected from the estate . They did, however inherit the Gawdy estate at West Harling on the death of their unmarried uncle Bassingbourne Gaudy who died in a hunting accident in 1723, which they later sold ) - Church of St Mary, Great Witchingham, Norfolk.

Anne married Oliver LE NEVE [23020] [MRIN: 8278], son of Francis LE NEVE [27536] and Avice WRIGHT [27535], on 6 Apr 1685 in St Peter Rockland NFK. (Oliver LE NEVE [23020] was born on 22 Jun 1662 in Cornhill LND, died on 23 Nov 1711 in Witchingham Hall SFK and was buried in St Mary Gt Witchingham NFK.)
