In the 1861 Census Tobias Jnr is recorded as aged 22 of Wendron Cornwall a farmer.
They had issue 3 boys and 6 girls.
Obituary.
Mr Tobias Mankey.
Who had been ailing for some time, was found dead in bed on Wednesday morning at his home at Pine Lodge, where also his son's Leslie (returned soldier) and Albert reside. Mr Mankey was born in Cornwall (England) 82 years ago; he first went to New Zealand at the time of the gold rushes, and kept a store; he subsequently came to Victoria. He was married at holy Trinity Church of England, Balaclava, and leaves a family of 7, his wife having predeceased him. Mr F W Fair JP formerly held an enquiry at Pine Lodge on Wednesday, and found that the cause of death was senile decay. The funeral took place on Thursday at the Shepperton Cemetery, the Rev G W Carter (Church of England) conducting the service. Mrs Magellan and Matthews attended to the mortuary arrangements.
