The record of Digby's contributions to the Bombay Military Fund reveals he joined the fund 11 Dec 1849, returned to EuropeS.C.13 Sep 1855, returning to India 22 Oct 1857. He returned to Europe S.C.26 Sep 1861. Was promoted to Major 11 Dec 1864 and retired from the Service 27 Jan 1865.
