MEN'S DEATHS AT FIRE. CORONERS' INQUIRY.
The City Coroner (Mr, Oram) yesterday returned findings of accidental death at his inquest on John Neale Rust, 53, fire officer in charge of the Waterloo station, and Robert Henry Hill, 24, lacquer sprayer, of Henderson road, Alexandria, who died from injuries received in a fire at a wireless cabinet factory run by Henry Vivian Hardress and William Scott Forbes at 15 Botany-road, Waterloo, on March 25. Mr. Oram found that Rust died from injuries received when a wall fell upon him while in the execution of his duty as a fireman, and Hill from burns caused when his Clothing caught fire as he was following his occupation as a lacquer sprayer. Mr. Oram also found that the fire had originated accidentally in the lacquer-spraying room of the factory.
