Extracted from the Principal Registry of the Probate Divorce and Admiralty Division of the High Court of Justice.

I Alicia Torlesse of Bellevue Cottage Ventnor in the Isle of Wight widow hereby revoke all former Wills and testamentary dispositions made by me and declare this to be my last Will and testament I appoint my son Capt Arthur Ward Torlesse R.N. at present residing at 7 Suddley Road Bognor Sussex to be the sole Executor of this my Will I give devise and bequeath and appoint all my property both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever and whether in possession reversion remainder or expectancy to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease unto my daughter Priscilla Louisa Torlesse to and for her own use and benefit absolutely without any restriction whatsoever
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my Will this twenty third day of April one thousand nine hundred and two.

Signed by the above named testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us both present together at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Alicia married Charles Obins TORLESSE J P [1670] [MRIN: 553], son of Rev Charles Martin TORLESSE [1633] and Catherine Gurney WAKEFIELD [1636], on 27 Dec 1851 in Christchurch NZ. (Charles Obins TORLESSE J P [1670] was born on 2 May 1825 in Stoke By Nayland SFK, baptised on 3 Jun 1825 in Stoke By Nayland SFK, died on 14 Nov 1866 in Witham Lunatic Asylum ESS and was buried on 20 Nov 1866 in Stoke By Nayland SFK.). The cause of his death was exhaustion from mania.
