Messrs Shaw, Saville and Co.'s ship Antares, Captain Lewis, left London for Lyttelton on October 20th, and the Downs on October 23rd. ENGLAND v COLONIES. The above Association match was commenced on Saturday last, but the cricket was of a very poor character. For some unaccountable reason the fielding was very bad, the bowling moderate, and the batting, with one or two exceptions, very feeble. . . . . . With as little delay as possible the Colonies took the field, Ashby and Wilson first representing England. The latter retired with the score at 5, bowled by a full pitch from Frith. H. F. Leete was bowled by Frith without scoring, . . . . .
