Mrs Frances Fortescue widow of Francis Fortescue Esq of Cookhill in Co Worcester died June 8, 1822 aged 77. A Memorial ring is recorded in the Liveing Archive IMG 2808. The ring is an amethyst in a light gold setting, a note attached by George Downing Liveing reads: "this amethyst ring was Nathanial Chambers and was given me by my great aunt Knottesford. Nathanial Chambers had also a diamond ring with a table diamond nearly as large as this amethyst, this I sold as one of my mother's effects.

Frances married Francis FORTESCUE of Cookhill [14678] [MRIN: 5206], son of John FORTESCUE [14702] and Theodosia BRAUNE [14703]. (Francis FORTESCUE of Cookhill [14678] died about Jan 1775.). The cause of his death was spotted fever.
