Flora Macdonald memorial presented to Inverness unveiled by Mrs Fraser, only daughter of the donor, the late Captain Henderson-Macdonald of the 78th Highlanders

FLORA MACDONALD.
A MEMORIAL to this devoted and heroic Highland lady has at last been erected
in the capital of her native county and of the Highlands. The monument itself is the
gift of a gallant clansman, the late Captain J. M. Henderson Macdonald, 78th Highlanders, of Kaskieben, Aberdeenshire, who bequeathed L1000 for the purpose.

MacDonald or Fraser Alexia Mary Beatrice Flora of Tornaveen Torphins Aberdeenshire widow died 23 February 1938 at Bexhill on Sea Sussex. Confirmation of Francis Fraser retired major. Sealed London 23 June 1938.
