5. John WESTCOTT [23711] (Elizabeth JULIUS [4923]2, John of St Kitts West Indies [691]1) died after 1756.

General Notes:
John was living in 1756, his family is entirely conjectural.

John married someone.

His children were:

+ 8    i. John Julius WESTCOTT [23041] .

+ 9    ii. Thomas WESTCOTT [23052] was born on 21 Sep 1734 in St Anne Sandy Point. and was baptised on 14 Oct 1734 in St Anne Sandy Point.

+ 10    iii. Elizabeth WESTCOTT Spinster [11395] .

+ 11    iv. Ann WESTCOTT [23712] was born about 1750 and died on 16 Aug 1839 in St Kitts WI aged about 89.

+ 12    v. WESTCOTT [23713] .


6. William JULIUS of Basseterre [687] (William R N (Capt) [689]4, John of St Kitts West Indies [691]1) was born in 1695 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean, died in 1752 in St Thomas Basseterre St Kitts. aged 57, and was buried on 25 Apr 1752 in St Thomas Basseterre St Kitts.

General Notes:
William was born at and lived in St Kitts, it was said that he never left the Islands. He had considerable Estates worked by slaves as was the custom of the time. The French when in occupation of the Island had expelled many of the aboriginals from the estates and brought in Africans to cultivate the plantations.

However no one of the name Julius is recorded in the lists of inhabitants of St Kitts 11 Jan 1707/08 or Nevis 13 Mar 1707/08.

William Julius of St Kitts, born about 1695, had 3 sons, Caesar, William John, and John, president of St Kitts, baptised at Christchurch Nicola town, 18 April 1733/34, and 2 daughters, Fanny and Katharine. Surname of his wife "Ann Mary" and names of other children.

Research Notes:
IGI, London records show Capt William Julius birth abt 1696 , marriage abt 1721 The birth record refers to a relative Henry Lindsey who may have registered it for the family in St Kitts.
IGI, London records, shows the birth of several children which have been added to William's family, identified as sourced IGI.

Note in the Registers of St Thomas Bassitterre that the 1760/61/62 Registers were damaged in the 1772 Hurrycane (sic)

William married Frances (Anne) Mary CHARLES [688] about 1721 in Reg In London. Frances was born in 1700, died in 1737 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean aged 37, and was buried on 14 Apr 1737 in St Thomas Middle Island St Kitts. Another name for Frances was Anne Mary CHARLES.

General Notes:
A Mrs William Julius is recorded as being born abt 1700 London, and married abt 1721 London. She may have been named Mary or Ann Mary.

+ 15    iii. Ann JULIUS [4511] was born in 1721 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean, died on 29 Sep 1793 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean aged 72, and was buried on 30 Sep 1793 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean.

+ 16    iv. William JULIUS [685] was born on 12 Nov 1726 in St Kitts (Reg In London), died on 18 Feb 1780 in London. aged 53, and was buried on 22 Feb 1780 in St Paul Covent Garden.

+ 17    v. Nancy JULIUS [4515] was born about 1727 and died on 29 Sep 1793 in Cayon Diary St Kitts aged about 66.

+ 18    vi. Suzannah H JULIUS [694] was born in 1728 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean and was buried on 2 Nov 1729 in St Thomas Middle Island St Kitts.

+ 19    vii. Catherine JULIUS [705] was born about 1728 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean and died in Queen Anne's St Cavendish Sq.

+ 20    viii. Martha JULIUS [695] was born on 13 Jun 1732 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean, was baptised on 19 Jun 1732 in St Thomas Middle Island St Kitts, died in 1741 aged 9, and was buried on 18 Dec 1741 in St Thomas Middle Island St Kitts.

+ 21    ix. John JULIUS [696] was born on 21 Jan 1732/33 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean, was baptised on 18 Apr 1734 in Christ Church Nicola Town St Kitts, died on 18 Nov 1813 in Laura Pl Bathwick SOM aged 80, and was buried in Holy Trinity Newton St Loe Bath.

+ 22    x. Frances (Fanny) JULIUS [697] was born in 1735 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean.


William next married Anne PERCIVAL [4184] on 15 Jul 1739 in Christ Church Nicola Town St Kitts.
